Sorry, but . . .

Due to a recent spamming incident in the comments of one of my posts, I'm activating the word verification. This will not require you to register or any other such nonesense. You'll simply have to type in the wierd looking little word in the verification field in order for you comment to post. Sorry for the marginal inconvenience, but until I have the wherewithal and know how to host my own blog, this will have to do.

All the Blogger sites have been getting hit with spam, not just yours, if that makes you feel better.

i even used to get spam on my little backwater page. eventually it went away on its own, but damn i'd love to get 5 minutes in a windowless room with a rubber hose and the people who come up with stuff like that.

the verification is a pretty painless process, though. shouldn't stop anyone from posting.

It's funny you should say that. While I was deleting the SPAM I was actually wondering if Tolemite knew how to get back at these jags. You know, through some Brooks-ian logarithm that could trace spam back to its source and destroy the offending server. The thought of an avenging Tolemite wreaking destruction on the mutha's responsible was comforting.

my sites not working anymore really. haven't paid for it. but you can see i have 100 responses in the journal section. they are all viagra or something like that. fun huh. really nice for those grandparents checking out what's going on for our wedding.

LD - if you choose to do a wedding site - i'd go for the free ones online at weddingchannel.com or theknot.com
